Tropical Homes of Costa Rica

Greetings everyone and welcome back for this installment of the Tropical Homes local news update!  Amazing sunsets, incredibly large waves, and pouring rain have been the normal for the past week or so.  A large swell brings in big sets to many of the local beaches in the area, and makes all surfers extremely happy as well.  Hard rains keep the dust down, but also contribute to the gross overpopulation of pot holes on our roads.  Let’s see what’s going on to see if you will brave the journey outside of the house today.

  • Mar y Sol restaurant has some incredible offers for you this week.  Mondays through Thursdays come get a drink at the two for one happy hours from 4PM to 6PM.  Afterwards stay for dinner and order the delicious lobster special for only $19, a fresh grilled lobster stuffed with risotto over sauteed vegetables with roasted garlic and lime beurre blanc sauce.  It is actually more delicious than the words make it sound!
  • The Happy Snapper Restaurant Bar in Brasilito seems to have had the same idea, and their lobster special is back on for Labor Day.  For $20, get a fresh lobster prepared any way you please, while enjoying a quiet beach side experience.
  • The Village Community Center outside of CDS Brasilito opened its doors again for the organic farmers market, held every Tuesday.  Come stop by for fresh veggies, fruit, herbs, bread, smoked meats, or cheese.

That’s it for now, stay tuned for some more rain, sun, and beautiful days at the beach in Costa Rica.  Cheers.
