Tropical Homes of Costa Rica

Coffee is one of the products that Costa Rica is most famous for and has been one of the biggest exports since 1820. While Coffee is mostly being cultivated in the mountains around San Jose we have a small coffee plantation area in the Nicoya mountain range near Hojancha where we will take you for a tour to learn all about this beverage that transcends all cultures on this planet We will also have a real costa rican lunch in Nicoya next to one of the oldest colonial churches in Costa Rica and visit then the town of Guaitil which is famous for its artisans, the descendants of the Chorotega culture, who still today hand-craft the famous clay pottery.

This is a great introduction to local culture and our beloved coffee!
