Tropical Homes of Costa Rica

Another Semana Santa has come and gone, and the dust has finally settled on all of the road in and out of Playa Potrero.  What is there to do now that there is room to lie on the beach, restaurants have food for sale, and our town is peaceful and quiet once again?  Here are some updates on what’s going in our beautiful beach community:

  • The Village Community Center in Brasilito is hosting its weekly workshop series, the topics this week include “Healthy Communication With Children” led by Miss Heather Allenby, and is from 9 – 10:30am on April the 11th.  Miss Mary Ann Augustine is also hosting a discussion on “Life Lessons for Teens” from 10 – 12pm on April the 14th.  For more information on the Village Community Center, send an e-mail to info@conchalvillage.com or call 8355.9993.
  • Coming up this week is the organic farmer’s market, also located at The Village Community Center.  It runs from 2 – 6pm and is on the 10th of April.
  • The Playa Grande Clinic is promoting its service, and offers dental, medical, and nutritional consultations.  Dr. Anwar Gazel is the practicing dentist and can be reached at 2653.2767.  Dr. Andrea Messeguer is available in her office at 2653.2767, but is also available 24 hours a day for medical emergencies at 8884.8047 or 8827.7774 (dra.amesseguer@gmail.com).  Dr. Ana Mercela Martinez is the nutritionist on staff, and can be reached at 2653.2767.  For more information, visit them at http://www.facebook.com/pgclinic?sk=info.

That’s it for now, stay safe and covered in sun screen, and pura vida!
