Tropical Homes of Costa Rica

Welcome back for the latest edition of Tropical Homes‘ local news update.  I am incredibly happy to be sharing this glorious moment with you all in this tropical paradise that never ceases to amaze me.  One of the things I love about this country is that you never know where your day will take you, and what amazing wonders and things experience along the way.

A brief yet welcome relief from the perpetual drought that has been plaguing the land this temprano de lluvia arrived yesterday in the form of some very refreshing rain storms.  The roads are now a bit less dry and dusty from the lack of rain, and I personally welcome many more days of rain to come to help replenish the water table and get land blooming once again.

What’s the word on the street, you ask?  What’s going on around town?  Let’s take a look at what I’ve heard lately.

  • The void left on the main road in Surfside by the exodus of Super Guido has finally been filled.  A new super in open in the exact same space, although it appears much more spacious now than it did before.  Be sure to sign the petition to get the new store to start carrying Arnold Palmer’s, and other such choice items the Guido offered us.
  • The amazing, underground, local pizza sensation Cara Pizza is now offering delivery for its delicious pies throughout Surfside for free, and to Flamingo and Potrero for only 2,000 colones.  For those of you that have not yet experienced Cara Pizza pies, they are by far my favorite, with delicious ingredients and a great product.  For more information, go to http://www.facebook.com/carapizza to look at a menu and see the hours, or call 2654-5572.
  • Although the Castle is again closed, do not fear, for Karaoke is again happening at The Shack on Saturday nights.  Come out and listen to all of the talented singers in town,  I may even be there to sing a song or two.

For now, it is time to rest.  Thanks for stopping by, and remember to enjoy every single moment that we have here in paradise!
